Connect With RedwoodIs Redwood only for people who need an intervention?
No. LCDC substance-use counseling, family recovery counseling, and practical sober companion support are also available. Many individuals and families begin by asking about counseling or support for a specific situation.
Can family members get help even if their loved one refuses?
Yes. Families can begin working on communication, boundaries, and their own choices without waiting for their loved one to participate. Family recovery counseling can help you consider what is supportive, what may be enabling, and what you can control.
What is sober companion support?
It is practical, nonclinical support for a specific event, trip, court date, or other challenging situation. Planning may cover likely triggers, boundaries, transportation, and who to contact if plans change. Support can include agreed companionship during the event and a debrief afterward, subject to fit and availability.
Does sober companion support include legal advice or treatment?
No. It does not include legal advice or representation, clinical treatment, emergency response, or promises about legal or recovery outcomes. Court-related support can be coordinated with the client’s attorney where appropriate.
Can family counseling help with conflict and accountability agreements?
LCDC family recovery counseling can help people affected by substance use prepare for difficult conversations, consider boundaries, and discuss voluntary support and accountability agreements. These are practical family agreements, not legal contract drafting. The focus remains on substance-use concerns and their impact on the family.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?
Redwood aims to reply by email within one business day when practicable. Redwood will ask about your goals, location, and what kind of support you are seeking, then discuss a suitable next step. Email is not monitored continuously or for emergencies.
How much do services cost?
The initial 15–20 minute conversation is free. Individual LCDC substance-use counseling is $160 per hour; parent and family recovery counseling is $225 per hour. Sober companion support is $125 per hour with a three-hour minimum. Extended family sessions are $250 for 90 minutes, and family recovery strategy sessions are $200 for 75 minutes. Intervention fees depend on complexity and scope and are discussed individually. Post-intervention/family support is $175 per hour. Scope, appointment length, billing, and cancellation terms are confirmed in writing before services begin.
Are travel expenses included?
Any included local DFW travel is confirmed before booking. Significant travel is charged in addition to the professional fee and may include airfare, hotel, ground transportation, mileage, parking, and tolls. Estimated travel expenses are collected in advance, with the arrangements explained in your written quote.
What if this is an emergency?
Redwood is not an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health or substance-use crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
